Yes, and often faster than people expect. Hypnotherapy works by accessing the subconscious patterns that keep your nervous system in a state of high alert. Once those patterns change, your whole experience of stress changes with them. You stop reacting automatically and start responding calmly. Most of our clients in Newcastle and across the North East notice a significant difference within three to five sessions.
They're closely related but not quite the same thing. Stress is usually triggered by external pressure, workload, relationships, life circumstances. Anxiety tends to be more internal, a persistent sense of worry or dread that doesn't always have an obvious cause. In practice, they often come together, and many of the same techniques work brilliantly for both. We'll assess exactly what you're dealing with during your free stress assessment call and tailor your programme accordingly.
Mindfulness is a useful tool for some people, but it works at a conscious level, and stress is often rooted much deeper than that. Hypnotherapy, NLP and EFT all work at the unconscious level, which is where most stress patterns actually live. Many of our clients come to us having already tried mindfulness, meditation or even CBT without lasting results. Working at a deeper level tends to produce faster and more lasting change.
Most clients notice a meaningful shift within the first two or three sessions. A full programme typically runs between four and six sessions, depending on what you're dealing with and how long it's been going on. What we hear consistently from clients across Newcastle, Gosforth, Durham and beyond is that the changes feel natural, not forced — and they last.
You can do either. We see clients in person at our Gosforth clinic in Newcastle upon Tyne, and we work with clients across the UK via secure video sessions.
