Have you ever felt an unexplained connection to a particular place, period in history or person? Or perhaps you're simply curious about what you might experience during a Past Life Regression?
Past Life Regression uses guided hypnosis and visualisation to help you explore experiences, memories and imagery that may feel connected to another time or another life.
Whether you're approaching it from a spiritual perspective, with curiosity, or simply want to explore what your mind can reveal, sessions are conducted in a relaxed, supportive and non-judgemental environment.

Past life regression is a form of hypnotherapy that uses guided relaxation and hypnosis to help you reach a calm, focused state of mind. From there, gentle visualisation techniques are used to encourage you to explore, without any pressure or expectation about what you should find.
During a session, you remain aware and in control throughout. Some people report experiences, imagery, emotions or memories emerging that feel connected to a past life. Others find the process brings up material that seems more symbolic or rooted in the subconscious mind. Both are considered a normal and valid part of the process.
Afterwards, we take time to discuss and reflect on what came up. This is often where the real value lies; whatever the source of the experience, the insights and feelings it brings can be meaningful and useful to explore.
It's worth being upfront: we don't tell you what you are supposed to experience, or what you should believe about it. Past life regression can mean different things to different people, and our approach is to guide the process, not to interpret it for you or steer you towards a particular conclusion.

People come to past life regression for a range of reasons. A few common ones include:
Curiosity. You've always been fascinated by past lives, history, spirituality or consciousness, and simply want to experience a regression for yourself.
Exploring recurring patterns. You may have recurring dreams, strong emotional reactions, unexplained connections or a fascination with a particular place or period, and want to understand where they come from.
Personal or spiritual exploration. You may already hold a belief in past lives and want to explore that perspective more deeply.
You don't have to believe in past lives to have a session. Many people come along simply out of curiosity, open to whatever the experience brings, without needing to accept any particular explanation for it.
A session generally follows four steps:
Initial discussion. We talk about what you'd like to explore and answer any questions before the hypnosis begins.
Relaxation and hypnosis. You'll be guided into a deeply relaxed state while remaining aware and in control throughout.
The regression. You'll be guided to explore whatever experiences, imagery, emotions or impressions arise naturally, without any pressure to find something specific.
Discussion and integration. Afterwards, you'll have time to discuss what you experienced and consider what it may mean to you.
Every regression is different, and there's no fixed template for what you'll experience. Some people may notice:
vivid imagery, places or environments, emotions, physical sensations, sounds or voices, a feeling of "knowing", symbolic experiences, or little to no imagery at all.
There is no right or wrong experience. Whatever comes up, or doesn't, is a valid part of the process.

This is a genuinely open question, and honest answers vary.
Some people believe past life regression provides evidence of reincarnation and previous lives. Others see it as a product of imagination, memory, and the subconscious mind, drawing on stories, media and information absorbed over a lifetime.
What's generally agreed, including among many therapists and researchers, is that the experience itself can be real and meaningful, whatever its source. People often gain genuine insight, emotional release or a new perspective on a current issue, regardless of whether the content is taken as a literal past life.
We don't ask you to adopt a particular belief in order to benefit from a session. You're free to draw your own conclusions about what the experience means to you.
No. Many people who come for a session are curious or open-minded rather than firmly convinced, and that's absolutely fine. The process works with whatever arises, whether you view it as a genuine past life memory, a symbolic experience, or simply an interesting exercise in relaxation and imagination.
What helps most is a willingness to relax and stay open to the experience, not a particular belief system. You're free to interpret whatever comes up in whatever way makes sense to you.
That's a common concern, and it's worth knowing that not everyone experiences vivid imagery, and that's perfectly normal. Some people notice feelings, sensations, impressions or a sense of knowing rather than pictures. Others find their experience becomes clearer as the session progresses, or emerges more through the discussion afterwards than during the regression itself.
Even a session with little or no imagery can still be useful. The relaxation alone has value, and sometimes reflecting on the experience afterwards brings its own insight, regardless of what did or didn't come up.
If you're someone who finds visualisation difficult in general, it's worth mentioning that beforehand so the session can be tailored to how you naturally respond.
Yes, hypnosis is used to guide you into a relaxed, focused state, which is what makes it easier to access imagery, memories and impressions. It's a natural state, similar to the relaxed feeling you get just before falling asleep or when absorbed in a book or film.
Contrary to how hypnosis is sometimes portrayed, you won't lose control or be "under someone's power". You remain aware of your surroundings throughout, you can hear and respond if needed, and you could bring yourself out of it at any point if you wanted to. It's a collaborative process, not something done to you.
Yes. Throughout the session you remain fully aware of your surroundings and able to hear and respond. Hypnosis doesn't override your will or make you do or say anything you don't want to. If at any point you felt uncomfortable or wanted to stop, you could simply open your eyes and bring yourself out of the relaxed state.
Think of it less as being "put under" and more as being guided into a deeply focused, relaxed state that you're an active participant in throughout, not something happening to you.
A session typically takes between 90 minutes and 2 hours, depending on your individual needs. This allows enough time for an initial discussion beforehand, the relaxation and regression itself, and a chance to talk through the experience afterwards without feeling rushed.
Yes. Online Past Life Regression Hypnosis sessions are very common and can work just as well.
We work with people locally in our Gosforth Clinic as well as working with people Online all over the North East and around the world. Contact Us for more information.
This varies from person to person, and one session can be enough for many people to have a valuable experience. That said, hypnosis is a skill, and like any skill it tends to improve with practice. The more times you experience it, the deeper and more easily you can generally get into trance, which often means richer and clearer experiences in later sessions.
If you'd like to explore past life regression more than once, we can also look at learning self hypnosis, giving you a way to relax yourself into a trance-like state between sessions or on your own going forward.
Past Life Regression can be done in person at our Newcastle Hypnotherapy Clinic in Gosforth or Online by video session.
We have previously run Past Life Regression Workshops from various locations in Newcastle and the North East, including The Vault in Wallsend. If you would like to arrange a workshop or event, please Contact Us.
